San Francisco: Crown & Crumpets, Walt Disney Family Museum & NOPA

For an early birthday celebration my girlfriend took me to Crown & Crumpets for some afternoon tea.

We each ordered the afternoon tea package.

Strawberry Fields: blend strawberry and vanilla over green and match tea. It was a light tasting tea, but very fragrant.

Alice Drink Me Tea: Champagne grape flavor black tea. This was stronger flavored tea.

Bottom tier: House salad, Sausage roll (chicken apple sausage wrapped in puff pastry), forgot what the other savourie was, cucumber sandwich, curry chicken salad sandwich, & egg salad sandwich.

Everything on this tier was delicious.

Middle tier: Berry scones & crumpets with clotted cream, house made lemon curd and jam. Scone was awesome and it was my first time having a crumpet so had no idea what to expect. It was okay in my opinion.

Top tier was an assortment of bite sized sweets and treats. I didn't even make it to the top tier cause I was full at this point with all the tea and snacks.

We visited the Walt Disney Family Muesum while we were in the area. I had seen it advertised a few years ago and finally got to visit it.

Some furniture from Walt's apartment in Disneyland.

Walt's Honorary Oscar for Snow White and the seven dwarfs. I've seen pictures of it online, but it was cool to see the real thing.

I never realized how many award he had.

Multiplane Camera

Didn't know Walt was into miniatures

Could possibly be the bench where Walt conceived the idea for Disneyland.

Every month museum features a movie. We ended up seeing Bambi. I had no idea that Bambi was produced in 1942 pretty amazing after reading all the hard work that went into making animated films during that time.

A closer view of the Multiplane Camera in the gift shop.

For dinner we decided on Nopa tried getting reservations about 2 weeks in advance and the only time they had available was 9:15 pm. Which was a bit late for us, so we headed there at 5:30 pm hoping to get a table. Unfortunately it seemed like they were booked out on a weekday. So we sat at the community table.

They open at 5 pm, but only serve bar snacks and drinks, until dinner is served at 6 pm.

Salmon Tatare, capers, crostini. Pretty tasty snack.

Flat bread: Spicy Fennel Sausage, Corn, Roasted Peppers and Burrata. Very tasty and the dough had a great chewy and flaky texture.

Pappardelle: Nine Hour Bolognese, Spinach, English Peas and Parmesan. This was also a great dish.

Braised duck leg, Fried wing, corn, and figs. I really like duck and this didn't disappoint either.
